MINISTRIES

Because the Lord first loved us, we love and serve our neighbors.
COMMUNITY DINNER
Wednesdays 6pm

All are welcome to join us in our fellowship hall (Tecumseh St. side) for community dinner. All the food is provided and it is free. We invite people to visit, share stories, and if they have time to help clean up in some way. We eat a meal and have a video and discussion that lasts about 10 minutes. Jesus often ate with his followers and with people who simply wanted to be around him, and we want to make it a weekly habit of eating together, getting to know each other and our neighbors, hearing each others stories, so that we can love one another better.

JESUS FOOD PANTRY
Mondays 10am - 12pm

Jesus Food Pantry is one way in which we show love to our neighbors. Every week, we help provide food to 60+ households. Instead of only handing out food, we offer people the opportunity to participate in a worship service at 9:30am. Attending the service is not a requirement to receive food, but many enjoy receiving spiritual food in addition to physical food. At 10 AM, we begin to distribute food.

DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS
Living UP, IN, OUT

The engine of the church is discipleship. When discipleship happens then mission, worship, and community naturally occur as a result of people devoting themselves to the way of Jesus. We organize our church into groups of 4 to 6 with a "Lead Disciple" guiding the group. Lead Disciples are the ones who are leading the way in following Jesus. They can say to other disciples of Jesus as Paul said, "Imitate me as I imitate Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:1).

The groups gather weekly for eight-week commitment intervals. For one of those meetings, the groups go OUT together and serve.  The goal is to grow in all three dimensions: Love God, Love Each Other, Love Neighbor (especially those who are not yet part of the body of Christ).  We are called as disciples to obey Jesus and all his commands. This doesn't happen automatically, so we come together in small groups to share, care, study, and serve so that the Holy Spirit will conform us to the likeness of Christ.
